Work lost due to not performing to its full capacity of worthiness. It was at the time a load sensitive controlled loading and unloading with cranes and extra personal at both ends of the pickup and delivered location ! The damages to us was more than the cost of fixing the truck that Ford fixed under warranty! It cost me a company that would not use us again because we were late! We never trusted this vehicle because of the possibility getting caught on the road breaking down! Over $50,000.00 stuck with a lost to trade in will lose so much more money! The dealer says it will cost another $1020 to diagnose it, to remove the turbo. So yeah, this defect is literaly costing me everything. Lights are off at my house and selling stuff to survive. This is aweful and I should have done more research when I got it, life lesson, yeah, then some. Ive lost $15,000 in jobs, estimated $25,000 this spring alone, and I am renting a truck each day so I can work to pay for the repairs. Truck wont start and it is the busiest month foe my business. I tried to fix some of the problems myself, $3000 in wholesale parts, to no avail. Ficm, wire harness, hpop, icp, ipr, ebp sensor, egr… and more. ![]() I depend on this one truck for my small landscaoe design business. I was not aware of the defects last year when I baught it with 96 k on it. My 2003 f350 with the 6.0 diesel has literaly ruined my life. It is seeking numerous damages, including: The Ford defective 6.0L diesel engine class action lawsuit is brought on behalf of all California entities and residents who currently own or lease (or previously owned or leased) a vehicle with a Ford 6.0L diesel engine. The defective Ford engine class action lawsuit says Ford documents show that (1) Ford knew about issues regarding the 6.0L Engine even before the engine’s launch (2) the same core concerns persisted throughout Ford’s production and sale of the 6.0L Engine (3) Ford never had a “definitive repair action” for these issues (4) most, if not all of these concerns had a “common cause ” and (5) Ford ultimately adopted a band-aid approach to reduce its “warranty spend,” without addressing the “common causes” of these problems. “Ultimately, Ford sued its engine supplier, Navistar, for $493 million for what it termed ‘exceptionally high repair rates and warranty costs due to quality problems attributable to Navistar,’ including ‘design flaws,’” the class action lawsuit continues. The Ford engine class action lawsuit states that despite being launched with “great fanfare” in 2002, by the end of its short production life, Ford’s 6.0L Engines had unprecedented repair rates, accounted for approximately 80% of all of Ford’s warranty spending on engines, and forced Ford to assemble a team of approximately 70 engineers to assist Ford’s supplier in identifying and resolving problems. A Superior Court class action lawsuit claims Ford knowingly sold vehicles with defective 6.0-liter diesel engines in 2002 that caused numerous problems. ![]()
